Biografía.

Laura Cruz-Reyes es doctora en ciencias de la computación del Centro Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo Tecnológico (2004), maestra en ciencias de la computación (1999) y maestra en ciencias en sistemas de información (1984) del Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, e ingeniera química en producción del Instituto Tecnológico Nacional de México campus Ciudad Madero (TecNM/ITCM, 1981). Es profesora de tiempo completo de Ciencias de la Computación en el TecNM/ ITCM desde 1984. Pertenece al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores del CONACYT, con nivel III. Es líder del cuerpo académico consolidado en Optimización Inteligente ante PRODEP desde 2000. Es miembro de la Sociedad Mexicana de Investigación de Operaciones (SMIO), la Sociedad Mexicana de Inteligencia Artificial (SMIA) y la Academia Mexicana de Computación (AMEXCOMP). Su trabajo se ha centrado en modelar y resolver problemas complejos de optimización (NP-duro) para entornos con muchos objetivos, dinámicos y con presencia de incertidumbre y preferencias, apoyado principalmente en disciplinas de inteligencia artificial e investigación operativa. En este contexto, sus principales intereses de investigación incluyen metaheurísticas, aprendizaje automático, lógica difusa, decisión multicriterio y logística. Se ha desempeñado como editora invitada de varios números especiales en revistas como International Journal of Fuzzy Systems, Axioms e International Journal of Combinatorial of Combinatorial Optimization Problems. Ha sido árbitro de revistas y congresos nacionales internacionales en inteligencia artificial y optimización.
